Description

Barton chart recorders are the industry standard for accurate and reliable measurements and records of pressure, differential pressure and temperature in a wide variety of applications. In addition, DP models use Barton's rupture-proof bellows DPU as the drive unit, with features such as over-range protection and pulsation damping (in some models).

Case - is made of heavy-duty, lightweight die-cast aluminum that features a built-in rain guard. It is finished in electrostatic polyurethane powder paint that has a high resistance to weathering, scratches and industrial fumes. The aircraft door hinge (made of 302 SST) provides excellent resistance to salt spray and H2S. A closed neoprene gasket, non-absorbent for fluids and resistant to oils and most solvents, provides the seal between the door and the box.

Optional versions "S" use a stainless steel case or a "marine liner" resistant to corrosion for saltwater environments. Chart Drive: available in battery and spring versions with a wide variety of chart speeds. All chart units, with a simple positive graph lock cube, are interchangeable.

NuFlo ™ graphics are made of "wood-free" paper, a special product of high quality and low shrinkage that eliminates eccentric and elliptical errors. The graphics are shrink wrapped to help maintain the factory default size until the user opens it. Once a letter box is opened, it can be stored in the sealed plastic bag provided.
Recording mechanism: all parts are made of stainless steel for a long service life. The boom assembly is exceptionally strong and the boom shafts are equipped with ball pivots to minimize friction. All links are adjustable, with micrometric adjustments for accurate calibration. All settings have screwdriver slots to simplify calibration. Disposable pens are standard.

Pressure elements: used in models 202E, 242E and J8A, are precision helical type available in a variety of materials: pressure ranges from 0-30 in. mercury vacuum (0 - 14.7 psi / 1 bar) at 0 - 30,000 psi (0 - 2,068 bar). The 202N model uses a K-Monel element: the pressure varies from 0 to 250 psi (0 to 17 bar) at 0 to 6,000 psi (0 to 414 bar). Connections available in 1/4-in. NPT for ranges below 10,000 psi (689 bar). Ranges above 10,000 psi (689 bar) use an Aminco 9 / 16-18 (1/4-in. ODT) female connection.

Thermal systems: consist of a Bourdon tube, a capillary with a stainless steel armor and a bulb with a flexible extension. All parts are made of stainless steel. The systems are available in Class V (mercury filled with an 11/16 "OD bulb) or Class I (hydrocarbon filled with a 3/8" OD bulb). The temperature ranges for each design are detailed below. A thermal system must have a span of more than 50 ° F (27 ° C) and the high temperature limit must be greater than 95 ° F (35 ° C).

Model 202E (DP)
The 202E is a 12-in. graphics recorder that has been widely used in the fields of transmission and distribution of gases: precise calibration, even under extreme variations in static pressure and ambient temperature. The 202E is available in configurations from 1 to 4 pens (DP + 3 additional pens). Additional pens can be used to record supplementary temperature and pressure data. The unit is powered by a Barton Model 199 DPU, with standard and NACE units available (up to 4,500 PSI / 310 bar SWP) - see DPU Bulletin # 21700 for more details. Static pressure and temperature pens are activated by precision elements of the wound.

Specifications

Brand: Barton

Safe working pressure: hasta 2,000 PSI (138 bar)

DP Range: 0-10- in w.c. to 0-100 PSID (0-25 mbar at 0-6.9 bar)

Presition: +/- 0.5% F.S.

Tempreature limits -40°F/°C to +180°F (+82°C)

Modelo 202N (DP) (NACE)
The 202N is a 12-in. graphics recorder designed to measure flow, static pressure and temperature in acid gas applications. The 202N complies with all NACE requirements for H2S environments, according to MR-01-75 (1991 Revision) - SWP up to 2,000 PSI (138 bar).
For ranges between 2,000 PSI (138 bar) and 4,500 PSI (310 bar), see the optional NACE version of M202E. The 202N is powered by M199 NACE DPU from Barton. Static pressure measurements are provided by K-Monel precision helical elements. All other features and benefits are the same as those of 202E.
